Vasco Avocats Paris is a law firm specialized in international sanctions, export control and compliance. We support industrial, technology and financial companies facing the extraterritoriality of US, European and Chinese regulations, from risk analysis through to the management of investigations and regulatory controls.

The firm was founded by Christophe Curtelin, former Group Chief Legal Officer and member of the executive committee of an international industrial group present in around thirty countries. This hands-on experience, close to general management and operations, underpins our approach: a strategic reading of the law, decision-oriented, not box-ticking compliance.

Christophe Curtelin teaches at Sciences Po, Universite Paris-Dauphine and Universite Mohammed VI Polytechnique. He develops a doctrinal reflection on geopolitical law, a discipline that analyses how States instrumentalize legal norms (sanctions, export controls, extraterritorial measures) as instruments of power.

Our expertise covers OFAC, EU and UK sanctions, export controls (EAR, BIS, DGT, EU Regulation 2021/821), Chinese regulation (MOFCOM, Export Control Law) and anti-corruption compliance programs (AFA, Sapin II, DOJ, UK Bribery Act).
